Steady Footing
Psychotherapy

Therapy is like a second chance. An opportunity to rework tired patterns. To voice the parts of our story we usually disregard. To try to face old wounds with less shame and more grace. To let someone in instead of going it alone. If things are feeling heavy and you’re looking for help carrying the weight, let’s talk.

Services

I am licensed in the states of NJ and PA as a clinical psychologist. I work with adults (18+ years old) in individual and couple’s therapy. I provide services over telehealth and in my office in Haddonfield, NJ. If you’ve worked with me in the past, you might know me by my unmarried name Elena Cucco.

Education

I earned my PhD in Clinical Psychology in 2018 after completing an APA-Accredited internship at the Veterans Affairs New Jersey Healthcare System. After graduation, I was a post-doctoral fellow at Princeton University's Counseling and Psychological Services. Along the way I trained in forensic, community, hospital, residential, outpatient, and university settings and worked with people from many walks of life in order to have a wide range of experience to draw on in approaching your concerns.

Experience

I have served as a staff psychologist at Lehigh University and Drexel University over the past 5 years. I brought a relational and psychodynamically-informed style to my work with young adults and student Veterans in individual therapy, group therapy, and community intervention. I also serve on the executive board of the Philadelphia Society for Psychoanalytic Psychotherapy and do a little writing about the therapeutic process.
